Salad is also a favored side dish in Myanmar like pickled tea leaf salad called Laphet in Myanmar. Lahpet is very popular and a common signature and national ancient food that is eaten by all people in Myanmar. It is served as a snack, an appetizer or coupled with a plate of rice. Another popular food is Mohinga, a thick fish broth with thin rice noodles which is arguably Myanmar’s most famous national dish and is typically eaten for breakfast. Another delicious one is the popular Burmese chicken coconut noodles.

For drinks, Myanmar has a unique tea culture. Burmese milk tea is a main drink in Myanmar, and tea-houses can be found all over the country and are great for starting your day with a strong drink. To get Burmese milk tea, Burmese black tea and milk or condensed milk are used.
